Built the room, then raised the money for it.

Two libraries, designed and delivered inside a working school: the St Benedict middle school library and the St Scholastica elementary library, named for a brother and sister. I wrote the dedications for both.

The St Benedict Library

An underused classroom, functioning as a catch-all meeting room. I wrote and designed the proposal, pitched it, and raised forty-eight thousand dollars in six weeks. It opened in March 2026. It is more beautiful than the renders.

The St Scholastica Library

The elementary library, paired with St Benedict's. A different age group, a different room, and a different argument about what a library is for.

A library has to be paid for.

Roughly seventy-five thousand dollars raised across three years, on an official budget of two thousand five hundred over which I had no discretionary control. Every proposal written, designed and pitched myself.

The ratio is the story, not the total: radical resourcefulness in service of radical generosity.

Our library has evolved from a space to simply find and return books, into a place of community, interaction, and learning. A place where parents, grandparents, teachers, and others call home.
